Keynote Speaker for the 2021 Banquet was Kena Robling

Keynote speaker for the 2021 banquet was Kena Robling, who spoke about her abortion. At age 18, her life was almost ruined when she was convinced to have an abortion. She spoke of how it took years to forgive herself, an act she could only accomplish after finding God. Robling also spoke about the years of guilt she felt and how she just could not put it behind her.  She spoke of how many other women she has met, who have abortion in their past, struggle with the same persistent feelings of guilt, which affects their wellbeing.

Alex and Tera Knepp Family Honored at Right to Life Banquet

Alex and Tera Knepp, honored at the 2021 Adoptive Family, have adopted three of their six daughters. They spoke of their joy in being able to adopt, and said that in spite of the challenges, adoption has blessed their lives.

Community Service Award Winner for 2021

Wanita Showers and her daughter Meredith Showers were presented a Special Service Award

in memory of Pastor Louis Showers

Wanita Showers and her daughter Meredith Showers were presented a Special Service Award in memory of Pastor Louis Showers, in gratitude for his many hours of service to Right to Life. Pastor of Grace Baptist church in Washington, Louis Showers maintained Right to Life’s website and social media, and assisted in many other technical capacities. On September 20, 2021, Pastor Louis Showers passed away following a brief illness. 

 

A Special Service Award was also presented to Pastor Joe Henson of Glezen Revival Center in Petersburg.

This year’s Right to Life Banquet was attended by over 400 people from the Daviess, Martin and Pike County areas.
